Award-winning marketing and communications executive with a wide variety of expertise including writing, editing, publication and literary management, branding strategy, advertising, graphic and website design, and public relations.


Areas of Expertise: Journalism, copywriting, art direction, photography, email marketing, media relations, social media, and crisis communications for B2B and B2C. I founded Blue Merle Media in 2008 as a full-service editorial, communications, marketing, and PR firm. I'm responsible for creative vision and client development. My experience working for a wide variety of industries has given me a unique perspective on successful communications campaigns, and a wealth of marketing, branding and design awareness.


I've focused my career meeting communications challenges, creating creative solutions and achieving results. From nonprofit fundraising, to university marketing, to NASA Headquarters during the Space Shuttle Columbia accident, I have been recruited to guide art departments, as well as direct marketing solutions for manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, higher education, entertainment, and various other charitable nonprofit organizations. My clients have included the City of Fort Collins and Cable 14, the Florida Medical Association, Sidwell School, West Willow Publishing, Roanoke Tanglewood LLC, itz Advertising, the Community College of Denver, and the Community School.


My marketing campaigns have included “Tag, You’re It!” for a specialty license plate program, and “No Trade Clause” for a UNC Bears baseball fundraiser. I could immediately step into any communications or marketing team and provide leadership, vision and oversight of all comprehensive communications campaigns, including print, broadcast, Web, social media, and advertising initiatives. Over the past several years, I've earned several awards for my writing, editing, photography and design skills, as well as my branding and marketing and communications campaigns.
